Filtafoil® is a unique material produced from expanded aluminium foil which can be deployed, for example, as a filter medium in order to absorb dust and fat particles.

This product is used in numerous trade sectors. It allows itself to be deformed and compressed. It has the advantage, in contrast to wire products such as knotted wire, that no wire ends are able to become loose and the so-called trickle effect therefore remains absent during cleaning. 

This product is also deployed for explosion suppression in fuel tanks for petrol and kerosene. Extensive research has demonstrated that tanks which have been lined with Filtafoil are able to not only withstand penetration through bullet and grenade fragments, but also do not explode in the case of fire.
