We achieve this by obtaining the best possible metal performance for your money. Expanded metal is perfectly suited as an alternative to perforated metal plate and offers, in addition to the cost savings, numerous further advantages.
Our products extend your profits. Good contacts are worth money!
Up to a thickness of 3.0 mm we are able to flat-roll virtually all expanded metal laths, enabling them to be deployed as perforated metal plate. Why is expanded metal cheaper than perforated metal plate? Because expanded metal is produced without material loss and the primary material can be optimally exploited. Expanded metal offers you considerably more design freedom in regard to the free cross-sectional area. Free areas from 4% to approx. 90% can be produced without problems with expanded metal. Especially for perforated sheets with Rv and Qg perforation, we have devised the products Experf (round hole) and Square Mesh.
The application of Micromesh or finely-woven expanded metal laths prevents the loosening of parts – as can happen with the edges of wire products – which could, depending on the usage, actuate critical malfunctions. Lateral forces, which could influence the function of wire mesh, are not able to jeopardise the stability of expanded metal. The optimal exploitation of the primary material frequently permits price advantages.
Advantages of expanded metal:
Particularly in situations where the deployment of prefabricated standard steps and gratings is not constructively feasible, the application of expanded metal laths makes good sense. We offer an extensive range of stable and skid-proof gangway meshes. These are the ideal covering for loading ramps and are capable of withstanding heavy loads.
So-called architectural meshes are among the most expensive solutions which can be applied to architecture. In terms of function and aesthetic, expanded metal also fulfils the requirements; expanded metal laths are, however, available for a fraction of the calculated cost.
Expanded metal also enables the deployment of decorative materials such as copper or zinc.
Expanded metal laths, in contrast to wire rope or mesh, can be further processed, e.g. edged. Coloured coatings are possible.
Through its inherent stability, expanded metal lath makes fewer demands on the substructure.
